Creativity, Peace & Comfort
What a stunning home, and a peaceful, cozy space! My in-laws have been renting a house in Steamboat for the past four summers for the extended family, but Carbondale is our new spot, hands down. Rather than a house that's been designed for strangers likes so many on VRBO, this home is full of warmth, meaning and mirth. From the aspen-covered fridge to the hummingbird-happy garden, the rusted tools on the pergola wall to the multiple buddhas, the local art to the house-wide sound system, it was a great place to relax. There’s plenty of space, but it’s not sprawling. Natural light and friendly neighbors, but enough privacy. A lot of clever convenience, all with soft edges. An attic fan keeps it very cool in the summer--love those things! The outdoor garden was perhaps the best thing of all--complete with an old saddle on a sawhorse. And of course, it’s got all the regular goodies (board games, movies, book, full kitchen, music, kids stuff, hot tub, ), and a central location (swimming, shopping, concerts, festivals, parades, hiking, biking, ice cream, restaurants, small town safety—all a literal five minute walk away.) Thank you so much—it was our best 4th of July getaway yet!- Stayed July 2014

Carbondale Find
Marti and Chuck thank you for sharing your beautiful home with my family. You have everything anyone would need. I used the kitchen preparing family meals and there is absolutely nothing missing, usually there is two of everything. The patio, the media room, the master suite are all-special, I love your flowers. The location is 2 blocks from Main Street, so walking distance to everything and a short couple of blocks to the bike trail. It was a very good stay. Thanks- Stayed July 2014

A Carbondale Delight
The property is just as beautiful as it is described and pictured on the website. The furnishing and decorations make the house feel more like a home than a rental property. The house was cozy enough for the two of us to have a relaxing time but large enough so that when family members joined us, the house did not feel crowded. I especially enjoyed the entertainment room which has a bar and refrigerator to store snacks, and even a separate wine refrigerator. Several rooms and the backyard patio have speakers to play music and the sound system even has the ability to attach your Ipod so that we were able to hear our own playlists. Speaking of the backyard, it is beautiful. It has a wonderful sitting area, BBQ and a hot tub. We took advantage of all that it provided and had a family BBQ, ending the evening in the hot tub. The kitchen has everything we needed. Marty and Chuck are wonderful hosts who can answer all your questions and supply great ideas for activities in the area. This is a fabulous property and would recommend it to everyone.- Stayed May 2014

Walking through the doorway of the Residence, I immediately felt "at home," - but BETTER! This home is beautifully laid out and comfortably furnished. It has everything I needed for my family, and more. I savored how cozy the spaces feel, while also being spacious. With a separate and very private master suite on the main floor, and extra bedrooms upstairs - everyone has their own space. The delightful common area with kitchen and living room, replete with gas fireplace for warmth and ambiance, was a great gathering spot at the end of the day! I also loved the option of multiple media locations: in the kitchen/living room, master suite, as well as the basement media room - to accommodate a crowd. And top it off with a great location. The Residence, at two blocks off Main Street has no traffic noise at all. Between Bonfire Coffee shop, the Crystal Movie Theater, the Village Smithy - I was in heaven! Thank you, Chuck & Marti for sharing your lovely home!Recommended for: Adventure, getaway, no car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Arias Chuck and Marti have deisigned a dream destination location. In the winter, wonderful views, cozy fireplaces and spots to enjoy or entertain. In the summer, beautiful gardens, open air feeling and everything you want is in walk-able distance. Summer or winter and media/entertainment room that Donald Trump would love! The perfect get-a-way for short or long stays.Recommended for: Relaxation.
